MENTORSHIP & LIFE SKILLS
Our Mentorship and Life Skills Program is designed to help improve a girl's social, health and economic resource, so they can stay in school longer; delay marrying, prevent unintended pregnancy, HIV and other STDs. Our 2017 year-long program included 240 beneficiaries, between the ages of 10 and 18 and had 10 mentors. Our summer program, benefited 137 girls between the ages of 11 and 18. Many girls in the community are at increased risk for child labor, trafficking, early marriage and pregnancy, and HIV/AIDS. Through the Life Skills Program, for example, we discuss topics related to daily obstacles and issues facing the girls.
